I would catch different poker shows but I don't watch that much TV now. What poker shows do you watch? I use to watch Celebrity Poker Showdown and The Ultimate Poker Challenge. Do these shows still come on TV?

I'll tell you what I have become hooked on lately and that is Poker After Dark. This is really a different game because you have all the "TOP" players playing at a do or die game and you really see them playing poker for real.
They each put in $20,000.00 and the winner takes all being $120,000.00. The rest get a thank you and that's it. So there is none of the usual DONKING or BINGO playing going on at all.
However, what makes it even more interesting is the chatter that goes on at the table. They all seem to know each other and it's fun to watch the interaction. Especially between people like Esfandiari (the Magician) and the likes of Phil Latt and Matsow (The Mouth) and Helmud etc.

Okay, that's the show that comes on over NBC at 2:05 AM, right?
I am usually asleep by then, but I have watched it a few times. The banter is entertaining, to be sure, and watching "The Grinder" is always worth it.

I used to really get into but I haven't watched it in a while. I learned lots, but I didn't want to end up mimicking the pros.

When I had time to I loved Poker After dark and Celebrity poker. Whenever the World poker championships came on I was glued to the tv. It's interesting watching the pros go at it.

How much televised poker do you still watch? Today, another website reported that NBC’s new Face the Ace program debuted in last place with 1.59 Million viewers in the first half hour and 1.54 Million in the 2nd hour. For most cable networks, this would be great, but for a major network, this is disastrous. This got me thinking about how much televised poker that I watch. Personally, I watch very little televised poker anymore. There is very little in the way of the game that “interests” me on television. Last year, I only watched a couple of episodes of the WSOP to see if I would get on camera any.
