This is my first time hearing about scratch games. It sounds interesting. Can someone give me some information on scratch games?

The one I have heard of is this one:

I've never played it but a friend has and likes it ok, but when I saw I had to download something I stopped right there. I don't want to take ANY chances with spyware even if someone says it is legit. So if you are brave you could try as my friend did and may like it.

Actually, I just went to Scratch2Cash after reading what the moderator/admin wrote about it, and it looks awesome! I didn't have to download anything and it gives you the practice option before you play for cash:

For me, it is a waste of time unless you live in a country that allows you win money. If you are in the US and just want to play for fun, there are tons and tons scratch off sites out there.

Okay, I still never read exactly what this is. What is this? What do you do? Can you win real money in the US? SOunds self-explanatory, but I must be missing something.
